This painting was inspired by a weekend trip to Washington D.C. and enjoying mornings in Bartholdi Park, one of D.C.'s hidden gems.
I wanted to capture the bright spring flowers with the Capitol peeking through in the distance. The mockingbird on the lamppost was a regular sight, adding a sweet soundtrack to our morning coffee.
This piece is a tribute to those quiet moments and how these little bits of nature can bring so much joy to the day in the hustle of the city.
